ABOUT US

fitness FOR EVERY BODY

The Crew is an inclusive space created to foster regular movement and improved fitness.

Our class schedule is designed as a complete polarized training program that will help members see marked improvement in their power output, cardiovascular health, and endurance. You are obviously free to take your favorite class every week, but varying the classes you take will help you see the best results.

In addition to standard Concept2 rowing machines (which stand at 14 inches tall), we have a taller rowing machine at 20 inches for members who may struggle to sit low to the ground.

We have two Concept2 Bikes, which use the same monitors as the rowing machines. If you have an upper body injury, you can still participate in classes! The bikes use the same metrics (meters, split time, watts, etc.) so you will be able to keep track of your progress.

We also have a Concept2 SkiErg, which is an upper body machine that mimics the arm and torso movements of cross country skiing. This machine has a wide base to accommodate wheelchairs and can be used sitting. This machine also uses the same metrics as our bikes and rowers.

As an inclusive space, we are committed to bringing rowing to EVERYBODY and EVERY BODY. We have grip aids for members who need them, tractor seats for members with limited upper body movement or who need more support for their lower back, single arm attachments for those missing a limb, and more. (Please contact us before class so we can set up your station ahead of time.)

Our Tuesday steady state class is also designed to be our beginner class. If you are new to rowing, have no fear. Tuesdays are low rate, lower effort classes. For experienced rowers, it’s a chill time to hang out in Heart Rate Zone 2. For beginners, it’s the perfect environment to work on your rowing form.
